I want a monitor that can play games at high fps without screen tearing and input lag. Should i get 144hz or 60hz. I don't want to use vsync and waste my graphics card potential. I have a i7 4790k cpu and gtx 780 gpu. Should i get 60hz or 144hz. i dont care about smoothness but i do want a stable high framerate. Thanks

Go with the GTX 780 as already suggested and get the ASUS VG248QE http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B2HH7G0. It's the best 144Hz monitor on the market right now.

I actually have one with a nVidia 3D Vision 2 kit on it and an ASUS GTX 780Ti DCUII http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HSY1RVC. 3D gaming with my setup is pretty awesome! Gaming at 144Hz is very nice as well. I wasn't sure if I'd really think the difference between 60 and 144Hz was worth it but it definitely is and especially in FPS games.

Get 144 Hz for the 780, you could adjust it for your real world performance. That is a good setup, what resolution?

With 1080p, turn down your settings to AA off and maybe Medium-High and you should hit 144.
