I plan on getting an i5 4690. Which of these motherboards will work the best for that cpu?

Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3
Gigabyte GA-H87-D3H
Gigabyte GA-Z97X

Solution
No need for Z series if you're not OCing or running multiple GPUs.

CX series aren't particularly great; get a good 550W.

Seriously, those guys are useless. No H97 chipset boards, and no decent PSUs that don't cost the moon.

To be honest, I don't see much of a difference other than Chipset, and in terms of chipset the only real difference has to do with mSATA.

I would choose via 2 criteria: What PCI, PCI-e slots you need and price. Rest is pretty much identical.

I'm on a budget. I plan to only use a 750 TI Superclocked.

Gigabyte GA-H87-D3H($0)
Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3(+$14)
Gigabyte GA-Z97X(+$20)

Reading on newegg the H87 is okay but the z97 got a better review. I plan on using my current power supply which is a Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus - 700W Power Supply. i5 4690, 8gigs of ram, Geforce GTX 750 TI Super Clocked. 128gb ssd and 2TB HD

My budget is $700. I can't afford to get a new power supply and the 280 requires a min of 500w. I can afford the 4670k but not a higher end graphics card. The 750 TI Super Clocked is $159.99 and that's my max budget for a card. I'm currently using a 6750.

My current pc specs are

AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE
4gb Ram
128gb SSD
XFX Radeon HD 6750 1GB
MSI gf615m-p33 v1.3

I have to run games on low-med and I'd like to run on high-ultra

Basicly it's a barebones site. I plan on using my psu, hard drives, dvd drives etc..

The current mobo I have has a pci express x16 version 1 slot. I think that's bottlenecking my graphics card. If I went with the i5 4670k and Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3 would that last me for a few months until I can get a new power supply?

Honestly I'm not looking for amazing fps. I'd like to run stuff on high and get about 50+ fps. The games I mostly play are WildStar(poor optimization atm) L4d2, WoW, and a few call of duty games.

Okay here is what I can do. I can scrape up the extra $98 if you think this will work.

i5 4670
Zalman CNPS5X Performa CPU Cooler
Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3
8gb Ram
CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
XFX Double D R9-270X-CDFC Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5

What do you think?
