Is it possible to run two psu's in a single system?

Hi, just curious if it is possible in any way to run two power supplies in a single system. Maybe to daisy chain them or something?

Not a good idea in terms of stability.

There must be a way though. What if you were to run two 295x2s. It would be difficult on a single PSU along with lots of other components.

Yeah you can but its not exactly safe or stable.

If somebody maxed out a 1600w PSU what would be the solution?

Wait for a manufacturer to push a higher wattage PSU. You would be hard pressed to find a system to push 1600w. I know you can, but nothing logical can, 2x 295X2s will only draw 800-900.

On the topic of two, you can, but its not a good idea. Take the 900d case, it has slots for two PSUs, this dosent mean its safe.

If someone were to run all system components on a single PSU and for example WC components on another for the same build would that be safe?

People have done it, so it is possible. The possibility of letting the magic smoke out is quite high, though.

I don't quite understand the danger of running a wc loop on a separate psu. Wouldn't it be pretty much the same as leak testing except you would be running the build at the same time?
