Which cherry switch should I get

As the title suggests I'm planning on buying a mechanical keyboard soon. I game quite a bit. I've used blues and browns for a short while at best buy, and I did like the feel of typing with the blues, however not sure if their very tactile feeling will be good for gaming. Any suggestions? Quieter would be nice but I can always buy some O rings. Anyway, suggestions?

For fast-paced gaming, there are the Cherry MX Red switches. They need the least pressure, and are silent. A light touch will be enough for the key to work.

Cherry MX Black is similar to Brown but it has a bit less tactile feedback. It's midway between gaming and typing. Unless you play games most of the time on the keyboard, I think you'll get used to it.

BROWN - very common for gamers. Logitech makes an excellent motherboard the G710+

This particular keyboard has rubber bumpers which dampen the keys when they bottom out.

RED - more for MMO users

It's hard to say as you really need to try them. I prefer BROWN as I also do a lot of typing and it's the best compromise between BLUE (very clicky but also noisy) and ones with less tactile feedback that aren't as noisy.

I have limited space so I bought the "CM Storm Quick Fire Stealth" for about $100.

I recommend either the Logitech G710plus (Brown) or one of the Cooler Masters:

Alright to answer your questions, I tend to play a lot of shooters and action like games, I've never been a WoW type MMO or strategy kind of guy. I type a pretty good amount as well. I'm not an author or anything but I sometimes have pretty long conversations with people and such. With the feedback thus far I am considering browns, but keep up the feedback.

A decent typist keyboard. Not really made for gaming. It doesn't have any macro keys or a way to disable the Windows key so that you don't hit it by accident when gaming.

If none of that matters to you, it's fine.

if you play alot of shooters and want fast reaction time best bet is mxcherrys red i use em and love em

For FPS games or any game that require you to have good timing and precision, mx red. Otherwise, browns or blacks would be better overall.
