Alienware 18 or?

ok so i just got a new laptop but since i am going to get a better one whenever this one dies i fiqured i can start saving up but i need to know what i should save up for should i get this, http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-18/pd?oc=dkcwx04s&model_id=alienware-18 or does anyone know a laptop equal or better than this below or the same as this price. any help appreciated!

  1. Laptops are not designed to play games. Alienware (aka Dell) is one of the most overpriced companies in the world. If you want to play games get a desktop computer.

    Looks great, but I might change a few things. The PSU is a bit overkill, unless he plans to add a second 290x, and I would definitely go for Windows 8.1.

  20. i found a intel Core i7-4790K at 4.0 ghz for about 50 bucks more wouldnt that be better?
  21. For gaming, no not really. The i5 and the i7 are basically the same. The i7 is only better for things like rendering and encoding.

  26. Is a wireless card a necessity? No chance of running a cable? Will you be doing much online gaming?
  27. i cant run a cable i dont do to much online gaming but i do do it from time to time
