I have been planning on buying a new monitor however it doesn't support DVI. It only supports VGA and HDMI, I was wondering if this was going to have any effect on my frame rate or anything of that matter. The graphics card I am planning to use with this monitor is a GTX 760. And here is the link to the monitor itself, for those of you who wish to look a bit further to answer my question:

No problem. HDMI is essentially DVI in a different plug with sound.

No, cables do not effect the frame rates. However if you get a faulty cable, that can cause FPS drop. Or if you have a monitor with low refresh rate that too can make FPS lower
