Hi Guy,

I have a weird problem.

my computer stucks at asus splash screen when i reboot the system but i'm able to boot it when the system is started by pressing power button.

ps: after it hangs at boot screen i should restart by using restart button to make it work.

I have tried full bios reset and still it occurs.

Motherboard: Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0
CPU: FX8320
Ram: kingston blu red series 4Gb 1600Ghz ram
SMPS: corsiar HX 650 v2
HDD : Samsung 840 evo 120gb as os drive and seagate 1 tb HDD for data storage.

additional info : after my bios update failure through OS i re flashed it using Asus EZ flash through bios.

Now whenever it restarts it just hangs and sometime when i power up the system it hangs. Num lock hangs...

Please help

Why are you re-booting it?

OK so you use Restart? and it restarts to bios but doesn't continue into Windows?

Have you changed any pc settings - in Regedit or ms config?

Thank you for the reply. actually it hangs at the asus splash screen itself. i can't boot into bios or continue further without pressing restart button. and its a fresh windows 7 install with zero overclocking.

Try a cmos reset - power off, remove the battery from the motherboard, wait 10 mins, put the battery back, power up.

That's 2 x 4gb. Did you only use one of the modules?

Its high voltage for just 1600 ram. But I think your motherboard should be OK.

Did you have these problems with the 2 x 2gb ram?
