So i read alot about the Corsair RM series. I have a RM 850 and i'm curious if it is so bad as people say. I have had it a month and i've had no problems at all with this unit. It performs great stays cool. Im using the RM 850 Watt gold. So after all is it so bad? I have had no problems with it but i'm scared if it is bad if it will destroy other pc parts. I don't have the money to switch it out, and me myself haven't had any problems at all with it, i'm really happy.
And i will switch power supply in 2-3 years probally since i don't want a old unit. My full specs list -
Intel core i7 4770K
MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
MSI GTX 780 Twin frozr IV
Noctua NH-D15 Cooler for CPU
CM Storm Enforcer case.

Ty in advance. - Nick. By the way forgot to say, i already know it have those ltec capicators or what they are called, are they so bad they might damage other pc parts?.

Solution
My own Q&A (feel free to do your own for comparison :p)

Would i buy a Corsair RM series PSU ?
No, becasue you can get better quality for the same price or less.

If i already owned the updated RM 850W would i use it ?
Yes, because despite the lower quality capacitors it's still a well built PSU with all the needed safety features.

Would i SLI/CF with it ?
Yes, if it meets the power requirements of the system & components i was running.

Like i said above, if you don't feel it's up to the job, replace it for peace of mind.

Don't worry about it. They fixed the heat issue they had with the unit last year. And the lower quality capacitors aren't great, but it will still do it's job, just that in comparison to other brands it's not as good in term of capacitor quality. It's not dangerous or anything.

If I was in your situation, I'd see if I could re-gift the RM to someone else. I wouldn't want Channel Well Trash risking the life of my other components even if it has a 5 year warranty. Not when qualiy SS and SF units are available for LESS than what the RM units cost.

Only things i can is to let my pc turned off for some months when i have money or use it as it is.

No need - Corsair honors their warranties. Use the RM 850. Yes, it uses budget level caps in the secondary filtering stage.
Keep using it, it'll shut down if something goes significantly out of spec. If it does, RMA it. It is more than enough power to run a sys with one gtx 780, so it won't get stressed much.

And while i might not put Channell Well as a top flight maker, they make and have made lots of good quality PSU's.
They can make bad ones if that's what's contracted for. There's only a handful of PSU OEM's that stay away from the
down n dirty models.

Make your PSU decision when you go SLI, in the meantime use the RM, it is likely to last even with the
lesser quali 2ndary caps. It's not gonna be stressed, you should be fine with one GPU.
