I tested the ram with mem test 5.1 and it found no errors . I tested the hdd with hdd regenerator 1.51 , found no bad sectors . Recetly bought a new power supply 500W . Im using nvidia GTS 250 and i thought it was the graphics card but i borrowed my friends GTX 650 and it same problem the computer restarts randomly from 15 mins of use to few hours . Ive got like 2 chassi fans and 1 cpu fan so idont think its overheat problem , maybe its the motherboard or the cpu it self . The pc is rather old like 7-8 years and im thinking might it be the motherboard ? or the cpu?

All fans(including the CPU's) and heat sinks are dust free? The issue started before you purchased the PSU?

If your pc is 7 years old my guess is the thermal paste on the heatsink is no longer good. So when your cpu hits a certain temperature, your computer will auto-shut to prevent damage.

Use HWMonitor or Speedfan to check your CPU temps

Hi,

I don't think it is CPU, unless it is overheating. But in that case, it would turn off the PC, not restart it.
Could be MBU, especially when you say that PC is 7-8 years old.
This 500W PSU, is it branded or no Name?

I ran stress test and its not due to overheat , the comp didint restart . But everytime i try play world of tanks , after like few rounds the comp restarts

Set it up to log to a file then play world of tanks . So you know for sure it's not the same as a stress test
