I'm restricted on money due to being a student so I can not afford anything too expensive but I would like a reasonably sized (19-21inch sort of size) monitor which has a good display and maybe (but doesn't need) a HDMI port.

More about : nice cheap monitor gaming casual

I would check a few of the following:
dabs.com
Amazon
ebuyer
eclipse computers
overclockers uk
pcnation

Or try your local freecycle, you never know.

Hope that helps a bit.
