Connecting to the monitor to either the internal or external graphics cards are showing "monitor going to sleep" message.

Right, so... my computer has an external graphics card installed. The last time I started it up the monitor was showing "monitor going to sleep" message without showing the computer screen. I fixed this by switching the monitor cable from the external graphics card to the internal one which the computer came with. And it worked.

However, now the same thing is happening with the internal one.

How can I get round this?

EDIT: It's doing a system repair... :S

Is it a new graphics card?
If so, then it's cuz your motherboard is not compatible with it.
Happened to me, had to get a new mobo.
