What differences between 4/8 phases would we expect to see when overclocking?

(Specifically for Haswell and Devil's Canyon, I've heard they have some sort of on board vrms?)

Solution
for haswell and devils canyon there is no such thing as on the motherboard vrms anymore. its all on chip.

and many enthusiasts believe this is why overclocking haswell sorta sucks because the on chip voltage regulation is actually worse then the old style motherboard voltage regulation (it's faster and more responsive, but it's much lower quality power then motherboard vrms), not to mention the added heat they bring to the cpu.

the result is the z series motherboard you use actually has zero effect on your overclocking. the only function the motherboard has for haswell/dc is how it looks, and the feature-set it brings to your system.
