I usually go with Noctua fans but I am looking to save a little money on my next rig since I want at least (5) fans and I dont want to drop $125 on fans alone. Does anyone have any experience with Enermax fans? the stats on them seem impressive and they have low noise ratings. Low noise is a key factor in this build.

Thanks for any and all advice.

Enermax is known to have decent fans at reasonable prices.

I use Cougar and Noctua.

Some of the Enermax are very good .... with low noise a factor such a priority may I suggest:

Phantekls Enthoo Pro - $100 (comes with two fans)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Phanteks 140SP - $9.99 x 3
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

So you can get the "Best Case if 2014" along with your 5 fans for just $5 more than ya expected to spend on fans.

Best fans on the market ... and yes better than Noctua's ...

They run 3c cooler while Nocs run 25% faster rpm.

They have the best performance / noise ratio in silentpcreview.com's testing ... again topping the Noc's

The Enermax wasn't tested but having both, I'd put them in the same class as the Corsairs.

I've used a number of Enermax models over the years. All of the ones with the "Twister Bearing" have little to no bearing noise, plus they pop out for easy cleaning. The TB silence series are among the quietest fans I've used and that includes Noctua and Noiseblocker.

Thanks for all the input. I feel a little more confident about the Enermax now. The Phantekls look good too so we will see.
