After around six years of service, my old Samsung 19" TFT slowly died.
At first the picture would go all white after turning it on, i had to turn it off/on a couple of times before it would go back to normal. When that stopped working i borrowed an old 17" TFT from a friend for two days. After i returned it to him it wouldn't turn on.
So before buying a new monitor i want to determine what is the cause of this.
I guess that the most logical assumption would be that there is a problem with electric installations in my apartment. Of course it could also be a coincidence since both moniors are really old. But since monitor is also conected to a graphic card i just wanted to make sure that there is no chance a malfunctioning graphic card could damage the monitor.
So that is my question, could graphic card cause monitor malfunction?
I know it is maybe a silly question but i need to be sure befo buying an UPS.
