I'm trying to overclock my FX-6300 on MSI 970a-G43 but i noticed that what ever ratio and CPU voltage i set i find that the CPU CORE VID maximum is fixed on 1.337 V and my cpu fails all time in Prime 95

But if i leave everything to the default the Maximum VID is 1.425 V, what on earth could be the cause to that????

Note: i use HWINFO to monitor everything

Solution

I said to try CPU-z, not update your current, sometimes massively wrong program.

Use CPU-Z to monitor your voltage, I've heard of and personally experienced really crazy and obviously inaccurate readings from that program. It may just be a reading problem. If the problems still occur, I'd recommend trying to update your BIOS to the latest version and try again if there is a new version available.
