My new built pc won't boot if I place the CPU

Hello,
I'm not an experienced pc builder, I just recently finished my new pc build except the graphics card. The computer seemed like working fine before I bought my CPU (fans, dvd writer and lights were turning on normally). Now when I place my CPU and try starting the PC, it boots and stays powered for like 2-3 seconds, then shuts down automatically. And it just stays powered normally if I remove the CPU and start again. So I guess I'm doing something wrong with my build, or somethings wrong with the CPU or maybe the motherboard? What can be wrong? What can cause this?
Please help!

CPU: Intel i5 4570
Motherboard: MSI Z87 - G43

Solution
CPU

• 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 / Core™ i5 / Core™ i3 / Pentium® / Celeron® processors for LGA 1150 socket
Please refer to CPU Support for compatible CPU; the above description is for reference only.

Core i5 Haswell i5-4570T 100 2.9 512KB 4M C0 35 HD Graphics 4600 1150MHz 7816v10.zip
Core i5 Haswell i5-4570S 100 2.9 1M 6M C0 65 HD Graphics 4600 1150MHz 7816v10.zip
Core i5 Haswell i5-4570 100 3.2 1M 6M C0 84 HD Graphics 4600 1150MHz 7816v10.zip

Try to update the bios.

It shows that the cpu is supported, but there is no note on what version supports it. There may be a read me with the bios file that can tell you.

I don't think it is about the motherboard because it stays powered if i remove the CPU, and i don't think the CPU is fried becaus I just recently opened its box and the first time I tried, this happened.

Did you check to see if the cpu is compatible with the bios thats on the MB? Sometime, you will need to update the bios to support a newer cpu since a lot of boards set on the shelve for a while.
