Will a pcie 3.0x16 gpu work on a fm2 cpu build?

i have a pc with a fm2 cpu and i wanted to know if a pcie 3.0x16 gpu will work on it.

Yes your mobo has PCI 3.0 x16 so any GPU will work on this mobo. No issue there.

even with a fm2 cpu cause it said on the mobo link that pci 3.0 x16 is only supported if i have fm2+

Oki. I earlier checked the basic specs on the mobo. My bad.

You are right. But still your PCI 3.0 gpu will run but it will operate at PCI 2.0 bandwidth.

so i place it in the pci 2.0 slot or the 3.0 slot

looking at your mobo, that would be the top most. The blue 3.0 slot.

Install the gpu in pcie 3.0 slot which is the top most slot (located right below the cpu socket) on the mobo.
