Hey guys, recently i've been having issues with my memory crashing things like Games and the such. I've never had this problem before as my pc is well kept but I'm in need of assistance.

My PC specs are:
Windows 8.1 x86
i7-3930k CPU @ 3.20 GHz
8192MB Ram DDR3-2400
NVIDEA GeForce GTX 680

For example, I can run some of the more graphically intense games such as Tera, but when attempting to play another game that runs off the Crytec engine, the memory seems to crash.

Someone told me the timings on my ram should be changed but they're set up to how they were meant to be. I'm currently using G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200).

Anyone who can offer assistance, it's greatly appreciated.

I'm actually running memtest86 at the moment, I'll get back to you with that info once it finishes. As to the OC question, I'm not currently OCing.

Actually, I cancelled the memtest86 for now to give you the information needed. I'm assuming the model # of the sticks is referring to the part #? If so, the part # is F3-2400C10-4GZH

OK, those are the Ripjaws Z and you mentioned they are at 2400 - so ensure the Bases timings are at 10-12-12-31, DRAM voltage at 1.65, then wander over into the system voltages and look for the VCCSA or System Agent Voltage - raise that to 1.2 and give them a try

Should i keep increasing it by .05 increments if it doesnt continue to work? My PSU is a Corsair HX750

Just went to go change the VCCSA to 1.25 but it was already set to 1.25 for some reason. I set it to 1.2 the previous reboot.

My BIOS is currently 1 update behind. I've downloaded the bios file, but the file is a .CAP format. I've never dealt with this format before so i'll need to do some reading.

I just used my BIOS EZ Flash to update my BIOS and it seemed to have worked without error.

With the newest BIOS installed, im still crashing to the desktop after 4-5 mins of play. Something's not right and it's likely the tiniest thing too.
