Concerns with overall heating

Hello, first time user and PC builder. I've just recently finished purchasing the pieces for my brand new computer and I'm starting to feel like I could be cutting it close with the heating. My specs are as followed :

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/sQd3mG

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory

Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB WINDFORCE Video Card

Case: Antec P280 ATX Mid Tower Case ( White Case edition)

Power Supply: Corsair 760W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (
.

The case I'm using is not the white window Antec P280 but the model with only 1 fan. As in
http://www.antec.com/product.php?id=706289&fid=6

With the graphic card having the windforce edition and using the CM 212 Evo CPU cooler, I can't help feeling like this is on the ropes in regards to overheating the computer in general.
What do you think? :s

So with only one fan you will probably have pretty bad air flow through the case in general which will not help at all since both the CPU and GPU coolers use air from inside the case to cool them. If you have more air flow through the case by adding more fans then it will definitely help but you may get away with it for now until you get some more air flow going. My suggesting would be to save up for a closed loop water cooler so then at least your CPU isn't relying so much on the air going into the case and if you use the radiator with a fan as an intake or exhuast it can then act to improve air flow so you graphics card can then stay cooler.

I use an H100i for my CPU to keep it nice and cool and then have the same exact graphics card as you, it keeps it cool and is very quiet but it does need fresh air to stay cool at maximum load when all the other components are also giving off heat into the case.

Sorry for the late reply.
That's an excellent suggestion. I'm gonna try to fix this regarding the one fan issue, I think I can get my hands on the P280 with 3 fans pre-installed. Personally I feel like I'm a bit out of my league when it comes to using water cooling considering this is my first build. However I'll be keeping a close look on the temparature thanks to iceblitzed's input on the hwmonitor software. As of now I'm still waiting for the motherboard and GPU to arrive from shipment so I can't measure anything yet (so annoying).

But regarding the looped water cooler, the H100i. If I were to install it, would that replace the 2 fans on top of the Antec P280 case? Would it fit? If not, is there an easier approach that would help etc?

Add fans or get a case that comes with more so you have better airflow, no need for liquid cooling, to better the Hyper 212 EVO you'd have to go to a H100 if sticking with a closed loop and their are cheaper air coolers as good as the h100, Phantek, Noctua, CM GTS V8

Cool! I'll work on getting better airflow, hopefully that should do the trick. But for now, I'm afraid I must play the waiting game before I do anything (shipping etc)..

the hyper 212 is a decent cooler but i see you have a k series processor so i assume your going to overclock it. a hyper 212 will not be enough for overclocking that processor. its possible but it will run kind of hot and you will only be able to achieve very mild overclocks(depending on your processor luck) 4.0-4.2 ghz. i woudl recommend getting a good watercooler to help you achieve higher clocks and better temps overall.

if you have no plans on overclocking the hyper 212 is perfectly fine. maybe just add a few extra fans in your case for airflow.

mild OC ? - I have an EVO on a 2500K at 4.8 that runs very cool, another on a 3570K that runs 4.7 and yet another currently on a 4770K running 4.7 (idle low 30s and load it occasionally hits 75 (and it get's loaded)...I've also prob used in excess of 75 EVOs going back to SB (and used the Plus before that) and haven't had problems with cooling with any of them.

you have had good luck on those processors then. those are pretty high clocks. but the evo is still not the best cooler for overclocking. i have a hyper 212 + which is almost the same and i have 4.2 overclock and sitting in the mid to high 30s i wish i would have bought a water cooler at first

plus the 4770k runs kind of hot

maybe just my luck. but i have also heard others with the same results as me with the 212 + and the evo. but if it has worked for you i believe you but just not in my case. by any chance were the overclocks you achieved on haswell chips? because they are hotter than previous generations.

About 20, and generally all good OCs, 4.4 and up (one just doesn't want to go over 4.3, but that guy is upgrading to Z97/4790K anyway. I've got a 4770K with one now at 4.7 on my Z87 Hero (moved the CM GTS V8 off that and have it on my Z97 Hero right now), my son has a 4770K with an EVO at 4.6
