So this is the current build I'm working on. I mainly play WoW, and League of Legends right now but I plan on playing more graphics intensive games. I want to be able to run all the newer games at ultra. Would this build be fine? Is there anything I can improve on?

Some people have suggested a GTX 780 over the 770. But I feel like this power would just go to waste.
Do brands matter? i.e. corsair vengeance pro > g skill sniper x
or western digital > seagate

My budget is around 2k.
Thanks for all the help!

The 780 benchmarks a fair amount better than the 770 however in terms of real world performance you get about an extra 10 fps from the 780 (Tested on Far Cry 3, Bioshock Infinite and Crysis: Warhead). So for an extra $150 I dont think its really worth the upgrade.

Otherwise your build looks good to me.

In some cases brand does matter, but for RAM and a HDD it tends to be that they either work or they don't so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I would say that that build will play WoW and LoL easily at max settings and probably max out pretty much any game for now but the 780 will help in the future when they need that extra power and memory. I'v had a 760 and its maxed out pretty much all games but was starting to show that it needed a bit more power just to push those frame rates higher and more towards the 60 fps mark. The 770 will be absolutely fine really and the 780 will only give you extra fps niw because the 770 will be able to handle games maxed out but when things get harder to run then you may have to turn down the settings and especially if you are going to go to either a higher resolution or 3 monitor set up in the future that 3GB or memory will definitely help going along with the extra processing power.

So would I be able to run dual monitors and have a game running on ultra on each screen with this build?

Unless you are running at above 1080p or gaming across multiple screens, it really isn't worth the jump in price to go from a 770 to a 780. By the time a 770 isn't getting you good enough framerates at max settings it will be time to upgrade anyway.

Are you going to be overclocking? By your parts list it appears that you will be, but some people do buy those parts with no intention of overclocking and are just wasting their money.

Well the way Nvidia Surround works mean if you want to play a game across multiple monitors there has to be at least 3 and you cannot stretch a game out across just 2 monitors which is annoying in some ways. You will be able to play a game at ultra on one monitor while using the other for other uses but as far as games are concerned you won't be able to play games across the both

I'm not exactly sure how overclocking works. Aren't these parts already overclocked? And I meant run two games at once on separate screens at ultra by the way. Thanks for all the answers!

Im not quite sure why you want to run two games at once but I guess you could try it, whether there will be enough memory on the cards to be dealing with 2 games at the same time I'm not sure and it will definitely struggle with 2 games but you only know if you test it out
