Info about integrated graphics

Hello
I want to know that if i am using integrated graphics on my pc with 4 gb ddr3 ram then at what extend does graphic memory increase

My computer specs are
core 2 quad 2.4ghz (8 mb cache)
4 gb DDR3 RAM
Integrated Graphics owing 256 mb
Now,
I want to know that can i run games such as Fifa 14 or GTA 4
because i don't know much about Graphic memory so i cant understand much
requirements for GTA 4 are

Vram is not an indication of performance. What game and what are your specs? I've never heard a game require 1.5gb. Maybe recommends it, but not require. That would leave out most of the population which is nonsense.

What I would do is look at the reference gpu model for the game you want to play should say something like "1.5gb of vram like gtx XXX or AMD Radeon XXX".
And then see on this GPU hierarchy chart where the reference GPU lies in comparison to the integrated graphics you have.

My guess is that a game requiring 1.5gb of vram, is going to be a somewhat recent title that will probably not run too well on integrated graphics. But you'd need to look at the chart I linked or provide us with more info to tell you if the game will run.

that depends on the game's system requirements. the thing you're talking about is virtual memory for graqphics which is a win7 feature n is achieved by sharing ram. if a game asks for 'DEDICATED' video memory of 256+ mb then you're out of luck. but if there is only written 512mb video memory required then you can probably play that game at least start that. with 4gb ram (2x2gb) n 256 mb onboard vram I get around 1600 mb total video memory. you can check it by typing 'dxdiag' into 'run' utility.(ctrl+r).

None of those require 1.5gb. You don't meet minimum for any. You could have 1tb of vram and it won't make a difference. The gpu is just too weak. If you have any questions of if you can run a game, I suggest you use http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/ But you can't play anything on that pc. That gpu was bottom end 8 years ago. It can't do anything but browse the web then and it can't do any better now.

Yes your igpu does not have any dedicated and uses ram as vram. But like I said, it makes no difference. There will be no performance difference from 1tb (yes I am mentioning an insane amount) to 256mb. The gpu is just too weak.

If there is no setting in bios then you can't change it.

FIFA14: Yes
MaxPayne3 : No

all in the lowest settings and I hope you've a low resolution [1366x768] monitor.

Intel gma cannot run gta 4. Notice this is not intel hd, this is much older. It really doesn't meet any of those games stated minimum.

UPDATE: I did not notice it's Intel GMA. Sorry mate but it can't be helped I guess as the GMA doesn't have any vertex shader. I guess you just should buy a nvidia 610 which is very cheap n low end gpu but will be suffice to run all 3 games. go for amd r7 240 if you can afford it.

610 is a rebranded 520. Company isn't going to change much, it's still a 520. It's barely the minimum for gta 4. Can your psu even handle it?

I think if he has a small monitor around 16-19" with 1366x768 res he can run those games in low setting with 610 1GB. my friend is using a 610. I can confirm from him using CYRI.

if power supply is necessary I can arrange it converting my system into tower
but please recommend me any graphic card which will play Gta 5 and also cheap in price
