Hello all.

I'm planning on buying the MSI 780 GPU but I'd like to ask a couple of questions beforehand.

I currently have a MSI 670 card installed and I'm considering to use it as a dedicated PhysX card when i receive my new. Will I be able to feel any difference?
I have a 600W power supply, will it be able to run both cards?
Also, how much power does the 780 consume alone?

Thanks for your time.

Hi,

In your case it should work good, the only problem is not all games uses PhysX.

It's bad to have a dedicated PhysX when the generation are to far apart from one another.

For the 780 you need at least a good 500 / 550 w CPU.
Although I don't know if you need a lot of power for a dedicated PhysX card by itself.

That's a good pairing, the 670 with a 780. It will increase your heat and noise levels having two cards and will only benefit you on GPU accelerated PhysX games. So what PhysX games do you play?
