I want to buy a new graphics card for my PC and i do not want to spend more than $200. I mainly want to be able to play Skyrim on Ultra settings and if optional maybe even Battlefield 4 if possible.
My motherboard is a ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 and my CPU is a AMD FX-8350 Black Edition. I was also wondering that if my CPU does not have integrated graphics and that i do not have a graphics card at this time as well does this mean that i can not use my PC in any way until i buy a graphics card? My motherboard says it comes with Chipset (AMD 760G + SB710) and for on board Video Chipset it says it comes with (ATI Radeon 3000)but i do not know what these mean.

Yes, but as said before, Intel is the way to go for gaming. AMD will not have an upgrade path later for more power hungry games-

Okay, 1st off, yes if you do not have an integrated graphics solution on your CPU then you will need a dedicated solution to output video.

Second, best GPU for $200 atm is probably the radeon R7- 270x. That card is probably fine for Skyrim and BF4, as long as you make reasonable settings adjustments (skyrim is probably fine at full max, but I doubt BF4 is)

Thank you so much, i truly appreciate it. So will this card fit in my motherboard as from above? My MB uses a 2.0 pci x16 but the graphics card uses a 3.0 PCI x16, will it make a difference? I picked the AMD FX 8350 over the i5-3570 because of the large price difference and abilities. I hope i made an ok choice because i hope the FX 8350 can do good with games and such. I also picked that motherboard because it comes with an optica audio out so i can hopefully plug in my 5.1 surround sound to it.

Well you will see a little bit of a difference but it won't be noticeable. You are basically downgrading from 3.0 to 2.0, just like when you plug in a USB 2.0 drive into a USB 3.0 port or vice-versa. Same for your card

You mean the i5 3570? And some people i guess they just are crazy lol. But i just ordered the Intel Core i5-4590 because it is by far the best core i have found for $200. It was a bitch to find the right MB because i did not want to haft to update the BIOS. But the i5-4590 beats the i5-3570 and i5-4570 by a mile but idk about the i5-4670K.

READ your own post!! You are comparing the 3570K to the 4670K!! It is a full gen down and is a 5 series not a 6 series. Also, the haswell refresh series only has a heating element upgrade and a higher clock speed but that doesn't really matter. Also, it is more expensive not good for budgets.

I know that but i never once mentioned anything about the i5 4670K i was talking about the i5 3570. I mean i decided to get the i5-4590 instead but i was still refering to the 3570 in my past comments And yea i get ya.

Um, for gaming, go with Haswell! It is supported by more games and is newer so support won't end abruptly. Also, with your budget, only a 4670/K makes sense

Yes it will. Or, you could go with a 4690K by increasing your budget. It is the highest end i5 you can get right now

Yea i see what your saying. I might as well go ahead and get the 4690K so i can overclock in the future, i also heard that, that MB is a good one to use for overclocking also
