I get terrible quality when playing games on my computer. I have an HP-Pavilion with a AMD Sempron(tm) Processor LE-1300, ~2.3GHz single core, NVIDIA GeForce 9300 GE graphics card, the motherboard is a OEM_MB IVY8, and I have 3GB DDR2 ram. I want to know what new cpu and graphics card I can buy to get a better performance but can still work on my current motherboard. I average 9-40 fps on League of Legends on low settings and it is never constant and when there is a lot of action it drops to about 5 fps and becomes unplayable. It takes a long time to load something and it just processes everything slow. Planetside 2 is unplayable and Warframe has a 2-5 second delay on everything with about 15 fps.

I'm planning on getting an entire new computer because I know this one is trash but it won't be for at least 7 months so your answers are right. Is there any way to maximize the performance on the current hardware though?

You are limited on all sides. First, your cpu is only single core. Dual core would help you somewhat, but then you need a new vga card. For power issues sake, lets keep it low power, so the best here is nvidia 750ti. Only 3gb of RAM is barely enough for any decent game, and your hdd will have a hard time swapping when you run out of memory. Unfortunately, your mobo is hardly upgradeable, only supports up to 4 GB of memory, and only a selected and limited number of dual core cpus. When you factor in the possible need for a new power supply, we are getting to the point where its not worth the money spent.
