Ok my boot drive has a glitched driver on it, it won't let me use my mouse and keyboard when windows starts. But when I turn my pc on I can access the boot drive with my keyboard and mouse. This happened when I installed a H97 chipset driver. So I can't use my mouse to access the device manager, or anything for that matter. I do have a mac that I could use to reset it. So how do I erase everything on my SSD. If possible keep windows on there.

Ok then how do I wipe the SSD completely without potentially damaging my pc.

I have the disk and a legal key.

I just tried this. I put in the disk and press any key to boot from this disk, still no mouse or keyboard support. So I can't even boot windows properly...

From a full power down and restart, and you have no mouse and keyboard?
You have other issues.

Yea this happened before it's when I installed a chipset driver, both times it was because of that. I tried a hard reboot, nothing, I've tried other USB ports, nothing I've tried almost everything, NOTHING. I only fixed it by going to the bios and changing the USB on startup to full initialization. I tried this now, NOTHING. it's really pissing me off.

If it is a USB mouse, did you try moving it to a different port to see if Windows will re-detect it and re-install drivers?

As for how to get access to device manager without mouse: WinKey + Break to get into System Properties then use tab until the highlight reaches device manager.

When I boot from a DVD it bring up the location select, default language, etc... But I can't use my mouse or keyboard. Do you thing I could use like a magnet and delete my SSD?

So in the BIOS, your mouse/keyboard works
Booting from the DVD, it no longer works
Interesting

And no, do not, repeat do not, use a magnet on your SSD to 'delete it'.

No, I don't think you're lying. Just that what you describe is a very, very weird circumstance.
Your SSD has nothing to do with this.

But just to test....disconnect ALL drives except the DVD
Boot from the DVD
See if you can navigate around in the install process. You won't be able to install because of no drive....but just to see what happens.

So does this mean to order a new mother board and send the old one back?

A magnet should have no effect on SSDs anyway.

On a magnetic drive, it could ruin the servo-tracking markers embedded in the platter between user sectors and ruin the drive.
