Caviar Black makes a TON of noise

Hello, I have a WD Black in my PC and its VERY loud, for instance when I download steam games or verify the cache of them it sounds like a TV when their is static kind of like a grinding loud grinding noise, is this normal and how can I fix it?

Go out to a hardware store and buy a hard drive. Then maybe try cloning it to the new drive. It's not helping your current drive but hopefully it'll make it through alive. Otherwise, you'll have to re-install the operating system, all your apps, games, and re-configure all your settings.

Also, file a RMA refund while you're at it.

I think its important to say that when I ran the WD hard drive test application, when it started the drive sounded like an engine revving up and then quieted down, but it was still pretty loud the test also said that the drive was fine?

Wanted to update this thread, I bought two new Blacks, since I needed the extra storage, and they all make the same noise when downloading games and what not, I'm starting to think that the drive just sounds like that, plus I've watched countless videos of peoples drives making that noise.
