I have a very limited knowledge when it comes to computer hardware and computer gaming. I want to get a new gpu so i can play more games and decided on getting a GTX 750 ti but first i want to make sure my AMD 760G Chipset motherboard can handle it without causing any problems.

If it has a PCIe x16 slot, then yes and I'm pretty sure it does, providing you have enough PSU for the card. :)

It should have a PCI-Express x16(2.0) slot so the answer is most likely yes. Check the following link, the blue slot is what you're looking for on your MB.

Your mobo most likely has a single PCIe x16 slot and should support any modern PCIe 2.0 or 3.0 card. As stated above, keep power considerations in mind. Also, don't forget about thermals. If you have poor ventilation and/or run hot already, take that into account.
