Yes, it absolutely will, I would expect ultra settings at at least 60FPS+.

I'd up the DRAM to 1866 minimum and if planning an OC on the CPU might look to a step up or two on the mobo - the Asus Z87-A is a good one.

Theres no need to go for a i7 precessor ?
...I will only play game with it.

looks good im @ 1440p on a 780 (non ti) and i7 980x. some overclocking will def help fps. average maps will see between 60-90 fps with dips into the 50's in extreme senario's and if your on windows 7 make sure to core unpark. overall very awsome with all settings maxed and 4xaa FOV @ 75.

Nah, an overclockable i5 is normally what people go for for gaming.

It seems that gamers really have hate for the i7 and i dont know why. look at all the big builds in magazines, or what overclockers doing benchmarks use, you wont see one i5( 3dmark) if you have the money, go for the i7, if not the i5 will be fine. im just finding that more and more games are needing more cpu power, especially if you plan on getting a second card in the future. watch dogs is a great example of this, it uses a ton of cpu. i like to have other things running in the background also when i game, so the extra power will come in handy.

an i5 is great for gaming but in the future games will benefit from the extra threads of the i7. if you have the extra money then go for the i7 but that i5 you have is still a beast and will work more than great for gaming.

i5 is good for gaming go for 4670k if overclocking. Get a msi lightning edition for around that price its a beast oc'er anything with 3gb and up vram is boss for 1440p a r9 280x or 290x is very capable but 780ti is very good. Recommending lighting because sexy( turns green when light load, blue when medium, red when under extreme load for a lightning effect also youu can overclock it to the extreme for extra performance
