Bought a new board. Won't Power On

I just bought an AsusP8 Z68-V Pro. 24pin and the 8pin are both plugged in. 585w power supply. The board is lighting up indicating it has power, but when I press the on-board power button, nothing happens. No fan spin, nothing. No beep. Any help appreciated. Becoming very frustrated. Thanks.
