Bought a new motherboard. Won't power on.

I just bought an AsusP8 Z68-V Pro. 24pin and the 8pin are both plugged in. 585w power supply. The board is lighting up indicating it has power, but when I press the on-board power button, nothing happens. No fan spin, nothing. No beep. Any help appreciated. Becoming very frustrated. Thanks.

make sure when you installed the new board that there are no metal stand offs grounding out the back of the board. try to reseat all connections and make sure the power supply switch is on. have you tried jumping the power connections for the case on the mobo?

It shouldn't be grounding out but I have tried an out of case boot as well and still have got nothing. I have tried jumping the power connection and have gotten no success from that either.
