best for 720p?

hi im new here and im not trying to sound like a complete idiot but i'm trying to find the best possible graphics card for my slim build i need the best low profile card that will max most games out at 720p without breaking the bank thank. im all for saveing a buck.

The 740 is just a 640 with a 128 bit bus, otherwise it's the same card. You can do a lot more for your money though. The r7 250 is about 30% faster for the same price.

The 750 and 750ti just came out in low profile, but they are hard to find still. They are over 100% faster than the 640 and 740 for about $20 more.

I would at least go with the r7 250, but if you can swing the extra $20 for the 750 it would probably buy you an extra year of not upgrading past the usefulness of the 640 or 740.
