GA-970-UD3P
AMD FX 8350
Radeon R9 270
G.Skill Sniper 2x4GB

So I've recently built my first computer! Yay! The only problem is that when I try to install I lose any video signal to my monitor after "windows is starting' screen. I've tried booting from both USB and CD. I get the same loss in signal every time. The version of Windows is genuine so no worries there. I've scoured the internet over the last couple of days and found that AMD implemented eDP support after the Windows 7 DVD was finished. I tried to solve this by performing the solution posted in the site below but I'm not sure what installation folder I'm supposed to put in the USB or even at what point I should try this.

I even tried installing Windows Vista but still got the same loss in signal after the weird green loading bar was finished. I've seen other people try removing one stick of RAM, unplugging the GPU for a bit, and even taking the CMOS battery out. Nothing is working. The BIOS seems to show everything working correctly but I honestly can't figure out what to do. Some thoughts and help would be tremendously appreciated!

No problem, that's a good question! I only confirmed that one stick performed the Windows 8 install. Two sticks may still work. I just didn't try because I was crying tears of happiness that my first PC build was finally working. I ran Furmark GPU stress test and prime95 CPU stress test yesterday and my build beasted through it. Even ran Witcher 2 on high perfectly =P. Thanks again for everyone's help!

Thanks for the reply! It is a Corsair CX600M and it is brand new. The fans and LEDs work just fine. The small speaker in the build also does the short one beep (at least I believe its short snce its my first build!). I've finished doing a MemTest86 and both sticks of RAM seem to be just fine with no errors. Also the CPU seems to be cooling effectively.

Make sure you have the latest BIOS, then try resetting the CMOS, then install 1 stick in slot 1 and try to install Win using the single stick, if all goes well, then shut down and add the second stick in the proper slot (prob 3....if further problems let us know the DRAM model #s

I just wanted to thank everyone for their time and effort but I FINALLY figured it out. After trying all of your suggestions individually and then mixed and match still nothing worked. So then I tried to install Windows 8 and everything went fine first try using only one stick of RAM. Tons of others have this problem so it looks like windows 7 isnt meant to be. Thanks again!

TLDR: tried windows 8 and worked like a charm

Yep, Win7 is the same way, on occasion, it just doesn't want to install with 2 or more sticks, which is why I suggested 1 stick above

"then install 1 stick in slot 1 and try to install Win using the single stick"

Have yet to find any specific reason for this

OK, so 8 worked but 7 did not. Just so we will know for the future did you try installing Windows 8 with multiple sticks of RAM or did you go straight to the one stick?

It worked using one stick of RAM and installing Windows 8 with a CD rather than USB. IThere was also an option in the BIOS to "let it know" I was going to install Windows 8 rather than another option.
