Asus z97-A, i7 4790k, 8GB Corsair Vengence (2x4), GTX 770, Samsung EVO 250GB SSD. Initial post is successful, however upon restart to boot from optical drive red VGA LED is lit. Power supply has outputs for HDD, ODD, peripheral and GPU. Video card is connedted to PCIe

If it posts then make the odd the primary boot drive and try it.
Re-check the graphics card connections - pcie slot and power supply.

I am just learning about all this; a crash course in computer engineering so to speak. I wasn't booting from the ODD. Then I had error code 80300001 that I am still not sure how I fixed, but it is installing now. I am sure I will have more stupid questions soon. Thank you
