Some of my devices connected to my usb 3.0 and 2.0 randomly get disconnected. Also whenever I restart my computer, my mouse takes along time for it to work even though the lights on it are on. This happens to my external hard drive as well. The lights on it are on but doesn't show up on windows. Is this a problem with the motherboard, power supply, or drivers? Already re-installed windows but still happening.

Already have latest BIO update, no exclamation marks in device manager and already have chipset drivers installed. When I re-installed windows I used the disk that came with the motherboard to see if I had missed any drivers but still the same thing.

Nope. Just right now I enabled a setting called xhci hands off. Do you think this will help? I've turned it off and on serveral times and my mouse has not had that problem anymore.

I think that might cause more harm than good. If you have a spare blank dvd or a usb drive you could try and see if you can reproduce this issue in a linux environment. If not its something in windows doing it.

I'll try that. My hard drive keeps disconnecting anyways still.
