Here is my build that was done earlier this year:

I would like to stream all of my XBMC and Hyperspin data from this build and was advised to make it a server with VPN. Is it possible to do this from my current build or should I just buy a WD Cloud/NAS system and stream it from the "cloud" that way. I have little knowledge on servers/nas systems so any input would be appreciated.
Just in case you are confused as to what I want to do; I'd like to play my emulators, xbmc media, etc. from anywhere that has an internet connection. I know my computer is powerful enough, just not sure what steps to take.

TIA

Depends on how much you want to do. You can fill a 2 tb drive real quick with movies. I'd add another couple of 4 tb internal drives.

I have a 2tb for my media and I plan on getting a SSD for my OS and a 2tb for games. Does it make sense to have my sorta high-end gaming build act as a 24/7 server?? Or just buy a NAS? Im so confused lol

I would just use my pc. Simpler, cheaper.
