Hello everyone, i recently built a new PC that i will be using for Gaming, Modeling, Animation and a bit of Photoshop like stated in the title. To go with that PC i want to buy a new monitor and i will use my old one as a secondary/reference monitor for when i work on a project.

I was looking at the Asus VG248QE which is probably a pretty good choice for gaming purpose. However, the color accuracy kind of scares me a bit for the use i will make of it and i would like to know if there was a better alternative to my necessities.

I have a budget of more or less 300$ and here is my Rig if anyone needs it to choose a monitor :

CPU :Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB Superclocked ACX Video Card
Power Supply: EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

This seems to have excellent reviews, and a high resolution: http://www.amazon.com/Dell-UltraSharp-24-Inch-LED-lit-M...

Your Asus VG248QE is a nice choice as well: http://www.amazon.com/VG248QE-24-Inch-Screen-LED-lit-Mo...

I also like the look of this Acer: http://www.amazon.com/Acer-S242HL-bwid-24-Inch-Widescre...

Overall, your choice in what you need in a monitor.
