DVI/VGA Stops working, HDMI still works?

A while back, there was a point in time where my monitor stopped receiving a signal. "Great," I thought, "my monitor is busted." So I find a spare monitor I had lying around which used the same connector as the previous monitor. That didn't work either. I could still hear the various sounds programs would make, such as IM beeps and the sort; so I had confirmed that the computer had not crashed. I then decide to see if it was just the VGA/DVI port, so I plug in an HDMI cable, and lo and behold, I get an image. Before the obligatory "If it works, why bother trying to change it", in my opinion, HDMI is the worst available way to connect a PC to a monitor. I've used 2 separate cables, and on both of them, contrast is awful, making certain colors blur when put up against another. For example: I'm playing a game, and my crosshair is a light blue color. I then look at something that is a dark blue, which should not clash with the color of the crosshair. On HDMI, those 2 colors would, for lack of a better word, amalgamate. The borders of the crosshair become a blurry mess. Heck, even the white text on the red background at the top of THW are mixing together and creating some very ugly text. The headaches don't stop there, however. In anything I do, especially things that are running higher than 30 fps, have faint lines on the top and bottom thirds of my screen; by which I mean that if you were to cut your screen into 3 separate areas horizontally, right where you would make those cuts are where this anomaly appears. It is most noticeable on grey backdrops, such as a concrete wall. On top of that, I'm not sure exactly what causes it, but I've noticed that on dark webpages, my screen will flicker white. I suppose one would find it akin to shimmering, rather than flickering, but either way, it's annoying, it's distracting, and I never had any problems with VGA/DVI, so I would really rather go back to that if I could. There is also a very distracting ghosting-type effect, which is especially noticeable on roads that have dotted white lines; as you move, there will be part of a black silhouette floating in the opposite direction of motion (like motion blur on a 60 Hz montior, but worse). A list of the things I have tried are as follows: switched graphics cards (GALAXY GTX 670 SLI), used my old gards (GTS 450 SLI, tried both cards), switched cables, tried different monitors, tried different drivers, different cables, different adapters, shanging the refresh rate to 30 Hz (ew.), Switching to YCbCr444, switching back to RGB, adjusting hue/saturation/gamma sliders, changing resolution (both monitors I have tried this on are 1920x1080 1080p monitors), forcing overscan off, turning underscan on, turning underscan off, forcing overscan on, changing settings on the monitors, none of which have worked. I have seen some threads on the GeForce website claiming that the problems stem from the 337.88 driver (which I have installed), but this problem popped up after I installed it, and was still present when I tried rolling back. The problem was even present when I did a complete wipe of my graphics drivers. The problem also occurs in Safe Mode. If I were to have both HDMI and VGA/DVI plugged in, I can see that the VGA/DVI connection is detected, but never gets any signal.

If, you don't want to read the wall of text, here's the tl;dr version.

HDMI on this setup makes me want to vomit, and I can't go back to VGA/DVI, since according to the NVidia control panel, it detects it, but never gets any signal. This problem has also spanned between 2 different motherboards. (No, I didn't update the motherboard to attempt to remedy this. I know there was at least one person reading this and will immediately think that's why.)

My full build, in case someone can pinpoint the problem:

GALAXY GTX 670 2GB SLI
Intel i5-2500k @ 4.0 GHz
Corsair AX760 PSU
ASUS P8P67 EVO Motherboard
10 GB dual-channel DDR3 @ 1200 MHz
Generic 1TB HDD
Razer Anansi
Razer Deathadder
Razer Tiamat

The two displays I have tried this on are a generic Dell 1920x1080 60 Hz monitor and a VIZIO full 1080p HDTV (which was in use when VGA/DVI stopped working)

10 internets to anyone who gets the correct remedy for this problem.

Cheers, and happy Independence Day.

Damn, hit the wrong button.
Anyway, already tried that. Still didn't work.

Apologies, not running on much sleep at this point in time.

Anyone? This problem is really irritating and I would really appreciate someone helping me sort out this issue.

Bit of an update. After tweaking some different configurations, I have managed to get VGA working while in a multiple-display setup. My TV is connected via HDMI, while my monitor is connected via VGA, and is recieving a signal. Will keep tinkering and update you on whether or not I manage to fix it.

Update once more. Not sure what I did any differently than before, but VGA is now working correctly. Colors are now correct, and I pray that I never need to go back to HDMI again.
