XFX Radeon 7870 or radeon r9 280x idont know what to pick cause im on a budget are these any good and if so which one?

and are there any other graphics cards that perform better and are less in cost?

R9 280X is far better than 7870.

It is based on the Tahiti XTL chip, being a slightly upgraded, rebranded Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition.

But if you are on a tight budget, I would recommend R9 270X.

Well the R9 270X Is essentially a slightly overclocked Radeon HD 7870, And the R9 280X Is a slightly Overclocked 7970, So Unless the 7870 is on sale i would pick up a R9 270X Instead. And if your not on a budget i would go with The 280X Made by Sapphire, BUT to be honest, Most of the 280X'es give bad artifacts in most games, So if you have some spare cash, Go with the 290.
