Hey I have an Evga GTX660 SC in my machine, this machine lately just runs idle in a cold room 24/7 except for light use like netflix, when I woke up I heard the fan from the gpu running at extremely high rpm and no display was coming from it, I took it out and even left it in used the onboard graphics of my motherboard (P8Z77-v) and it posted with display both times. Well I bought the graphics card a year ago. Is there anything that could be done or should I just swap it out for another?

Solution
Can you see the GTX 660 in Device Manager using the onboard graphics? If so, you may want to try a driver update. If you overclocked the GPU in any way you may also want to remove this as well. Besides that, I'd wager that you need a new GPU.

I can't see the gpu on device manager, and also I didn't OC it, so I'm guessing it's just as I thought and my gpu is dead, just wanted a second opinion thanks mate!
