Hey all,

I had a gaming mouse(FUNC-MS3 R1) that would intermittently receive and drop out of having power. So i found an old mouse lying around the house, opened up my gaming mouse and exchanged the cables. Connectors were the same inside, only difference was that the original was gold plaited and the old one isnt.

Everything went fine until i hooked it up to my computer. It said that it was an "unknown device".

Ive tried numerous things on the internet:
Delete use HUBs so that windows will reinstall upon restart
Taken out battery of laptop for 10 minutes after shutdown and power cable out.
Uninstalling from CPanel

First it had the yellow "!" triangle, but now it just have a circular "?" next to it.

It says it has the latest driver but as its a FUNC mouse i cant do anything with the drivers unless it recognizes it as an official FUNC mouse.

Are there any generic drivers so i can get started?
As the mouse wont do anything atm

Thanks

Thank you both for your replies.

It was indeed that the other cable was wired differently and was not compatible. So, i pulled out my soldering iron and went to town.

its now around 1.2cm shorter than he original but it works perfectly!

As you were both right, i dont think i will pick one answer as the solution but they were correct!

Thank you
