Hello everyone. I am getting a blue screen of death with the error code being 0xA0000001 when playing games. I just spent just under 2000 dollars on this card, and I am not sure if it is a GPU problem or a PSU problem. I got a 850 wat corsair HX professional series PSU and I was thinking if it was a PSU issue my computer would just shutdown and not even get a blue screen. I haven't tested ram yet, but I may put some new sticks in to try that out. I really would love some help and assistance with this problem. I am not very smart with PC's and if I have to RMA my card back that will kind of suck. I did do a slight overclock to my i7-4700k, but I think that shouldn't be the problem. I don't know what is causing this.

I am using the latest beta drivers 14.6. I thought my PSU would be enough since I am only using 3 hard drives, 1 SSD and a Noctua CPU cooler. I am going to go into bios and put my CPU to stock settings. I look forward to reading your replies. I really appreciate the assistance. Thank you!

There's a lot of info implying that the 0xA0000001 error code is related to graphic card drivers, which would make sense as you have the beta ones installed. Uninstall the drivers and AMD Catalyst Control Centre (if you have it) and download the latest stable drivers instead.

Your PSU is absolutely fine for that GPU, so there's no problem there.

Thank you bicycle_repair_man for your reply. I really appreciate it. In the past all the beta drivers have worked fine when I used to own a 7970 3 gig card. I had no issues with that card, I just wanted to upgrade my card since I am getting a 4k res monitor in the near future and I need the 8 gig video ram to be able to enjoy 4k res gaming. I will try remove my drivers and going back to 14.4. I hope that solves the problem. I only just started getting this error which was weird. I have had this PC for over a year and I have had this GPU for a good month or so and it seemed to run everything beautifully.

I installed 14.4 drivers but error occurred with a yellow question mark. :S

Looking at the log it says everything installed fine though.

Any ideas why it didn't install properly? I used driver uninstaller from guru3D in safe mode before installing 14.4 drivers.

Is that question mark in Device Manager? If so, that's usually because Windows doesn't know what the device is. Did you restart the computer after installing the driver and download the correct one?

No at the end of installing CCC.

The 295x is a power hog. What are your full systems specs including what are you oc'ing your memory and cpu to?

I did the tiniest overclock to my i7-4770k. I don't have much running. People saying my PSU is fine.

Open Device Manager and check the properties of the graphics card. That will tell you exactly what's wrong.

Hey mate it shows both cards under display adapters and when I right click on both of them it says the device is working properly. I am not sure if you understood me. After I removed the drivers and re-installed Catalyst Control Center it installed, my screen flickered on and off a few times and at the end of installation it said it installed but errors occurred with a yellow question mark. After I said okay it told me to restart computer. I may just ignore it.

OK, I'd go through the uninstallation process again and then restart the computer. Once you've done that, delete all the GPUs from Device Manager and install the new drivers and CCC again. That way, you have a clean installation.

I think the 14.4 drivers fixed the issue. Even though the driver installed with errors. This is really weird. Are beta drivers that much of a stuff up? Thank you all. So far so good!

Glad to hear it.

Beta drivers can work flawlessly, but they're obviously in beta for a reason. I personally steer clear of them.
