Hey!

This is my first custom pc build! I was wondering if you could check out my specs, and run a benchmark on them? As I have no clue how to do it. Also if you could tell me your all round general thoughts on it, and how it would function!

CPU - Intel i5 3470
GPU - Gigabyte GTX 590
Motherboard - Gigabyte ga-z77-d3h-mvp
PSU - Corsair VS650 650W
Memory - Kingston KVR 4GB Single DDR3 1333
Hardrive - Seagate Barracuda 500gb
Case - Coolermaster RC-K380-KWN1 K380

Thanks,

8gm ram would be nice, the graphics was great at its prime, it's probably in between a gtx770-780 nowadays.. so replace the graphics with a modern day gpu and a bit more ram and you're set to go. motherboard and cpu are older gen but no big performance leaps since them.

I've chosen to go with the 590, as I am getting it about half the price of the 780. :)

and the problem with this is that you probably get no warranty or limited. you have to remember this is a 3 years old card.

But still, its pretty solid for a cheap budget build.

I've heard bad things about GTX 590s getting burned out with certain drivers. Best advice is to get a GTX 780 with a full warranty. It's better than a 590, it does not have to put up with SLI issues with certain games, and has support for the latest tech, such as HBAO+ and adaptive v-sync. And it does not cost much more. This should be a good deal. And it even includes Watch Dogs.

Besides, the GTX 590 is only as good as two overclocked 660s in SLI and the 660 is a mid-range GPU.

If you need to save even more money, heck, even a GTX 770 soundly beats a 590.

To be honest, I wouldnt even be going anywhere near any of them GPU's, they are all right out of my price range. The only reason I have chosen to go with the 590, is because I am getting cheaper. Alot Cheaper

well i am getting the cpu gpu and motherboard for around 450

Look at this build and see what you think. The CPU, board, and GPU combined are only $500 and of the latest generations. Also, you don't need a z77 or z87 board for a non-K CPU.
