Data recovery problem

I think I messed up the partition table on one of my drives. Windows can't see the drive but Partition Manager can, but I can't access the data. If i were able to install Windows on an empty partition on the drive, would my data become visible?

  1. No, it would only make things worse, effectively overwriting the currently "lost" data. Try using data recovery software before installing / formatting anything. That is, if the data is important to you.
  2. If you do anything on that drive, you put the data at risk.
  3. Thanks guys, I thought that was the case but I had to check for a free solution before forking out for recovery software.

This one works great, and so do many other utils.

Make sure you get the paid version, free version can only recover 2GB of files.
