help please my screen is small

can somebody please help me I recently bought a new desktop computer for gaming and when i booted it up and installed Google chrome and steam i noticed that the menu bar i think that is what you call it was very small on Google chrome and steam looked tiny even though im using the same monitor and i know the monitors resolution is 1920 x 1080 can somebody please answer me?

sorry for the late response there are no black bars around the screen and how do i check if my output resolution is matching my monitor sorry im new to these kind of things i got into pc gaming not long ago

With the drivers that came and/or you downloaded for your graphics card, there should be a Control Centre sort of thing. nVidia Control panel is for nVidia cards and Catalyst Control is for AMD.

If you open either up, there would be a title named Display or somewhat of that nature. Inside there will be "Change resolution" or "Change desktop resolution." See if it is synced up with your monitor (eg; 1920x1080, 60Hz)

If a screenshot of what it looks like could be uploaded, that'd be great. I'm going off your description of the issue.

sorry im replying days later i got really busy but could you tell me how to upload a screenshot im new and the issue is easy to see i think well it is for me i also already checked my nvidia control panel its been since i upgraded to my new pc that this issue came up same display that i used just a new pc
