I have built my own PC and am fairly knowledgeable on Desktop Systems, I'm helping my brother select a gaming laptop (before anyone mentions that a desktop would be a better choice, he is selecting a laptop as he works away and wants to be able to take the laptop with him)

The laptop has to be on Overclockers Uk as he is taking advantage of the 12 month interest free credit they offer!

From what I have had a look at, the following 2 laptops are what my search has been narrowed down to, but I can not decide which is the better laptop for gaming:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=LT-129-MS

Aside form the obvious screen size difference, what is the benefit of one over the other?

Feel free to suggest a different laptop, if you believe there is a better one for around the same price!

Thanks in advance!

The first link includes an ssd, the second doesn't. Otherwise I see no difference at all. Im from USA so don't know price difference, judging by specs of laptop, its a low cost gaming laptop and im not to knowledable with other options.

Again, other than the ssd which I love, and screen size, the cpu and gpu are identical.

If you want cpu power, I might suggest this unit:

The cpu passmark rating of the 4700HQ is 7997 compared to the A10-5750M with 3177.

Gaming is largely determined by the graphics chip, and I am unable to find a valid comparison between the m9290X and GTX860M chips
