VGA Cable Problem

So I have a hanspree notebook (yes I have a life) I bought a VGA cable hooked it up the compute said it was running perfectly one problem it doesn't appear on the screen I've done everything windows support told me to do but it won't work Please Help

Have you set up your system to run as dual monitors, most notebooks will have that function in the F series of keys example F1,F2,F3 etc, then select your setting depending on what you want.

If your asking if the F keys work they do I'll try some other stuff today to see if they work

No im telling you the F keys on a laptop keyboard usually include the function of setting up a second screen.

No the F keys don't make it work there are two that look like a screen but they refresh and freeze the laptop screen

I'm starting to think that the graphics are the problem my TV is hd and my laptop isn't could this be the problem ?
