I just got some new ram and it says it supports intel i5 and i7. I have amd?
Does this matter or is it bad?
I was pretty sure it was just down to the motherboard and what the cpu can handle, not what make the cpu is?
Thanks

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. Only thing that really matters for that is the voltage. Most of the later Intel Cpu's only support 1.5v ram, while the Amd's are comfortable with 1.65v. I'd guess that's where that information is coming from, if the ram you have is 1.5v. You can overclock your ram though, and it should work at voltages greater than that, but for official support 1.5v is the limit for Intel.
