Hello all,

So I've got my CPU at 4.4Ghz with these temperatures while running Prime 95 for 40minutes now.

http://

how do I solve the drop in CPU VCORE?
voltages don't even seem high to me so why the drop already?

my build:

• Case: Corsair Obsidian 800D

• Motherboard: Asrock Fatality 990FC Killer

• CPU: AMD FX 8350

• RAM: Corsair 16 GB DDR3-1600 Quad-Kit ( CMX16GX3M4A1600C9, XMS)

• PSU: Corsair AX1200

• Graphics: SAPPHIRE TRI-X R9 290 4GB OC

• Cooler: Antec Kühler H2O 650

the min would have only been when it was first booted and went into low power state mode. that doesn't mean you hit that voltage at 4.4ghz, that's impossible. at 1.5ghz when the cpu is downclocked, then yes, 0.8v is fine.

as for overall voltage drop, you have to enable llc in your bios.

It's because you probably have load line calibration on.

seems like my mobo doesn't has that option. what should my CPU Voltage Offset be? it's now on +50mv. CPUTIN seems so get pretty hot to?

If CPUTIN is the socket temp, you're at the limit that that temp should be. To cool it, either better cooler (helps a bit), fan facing the motherboard VRM's and fan attached to back of the motherboard/hole cut in case for another fan blowing on the socket.

AMD overclocking can be successful but needs a lot of cooling as the high TDP of these chips creates a lot of heat on the VRM's, and the socket itself.

And that is a Fatality 990 OC board? It has to have LLC options and all kinds of tweaking settings. None of them will help keep the socket cooler or the VRM's other than better overall cooling. I hit 4.8ghz on my chip, with an AIO water cooler with 4 fans in push/pull, fan on the socket blowing heat out of the right side of my case, fan on the VRM's blowing cool air on them, another 4 or 5 case fans and I still hit MAX temps in 5-10 mins on prime at that speed.

so Back to 4.2 for now, goal was 4.6 but seems like that will not be to easy.
got 2 more fans + controller incoming so I'll see how it goes when they arrive.
the 0.8 volt happens when my cputin temp hits 75°c so it seems like cooling problems to me.
checked it again and no LLC options on this board. pretty lame if you ask me.

Your cpu is trottling, becuse the chip is getting too hot. You probably have LLC, its load line calibration.

Maybe there is something wrong with your cooler setup, because that temp is to high.
