Need help with choosing right motherboard.

Hello, i am looking to get new mini itx motherboard. I have i7-3770 CPU, it needs 1155 socket. I have read many posts on here and other forums about Asus p8z77-i deluxe being the current best, but they are a little pricey. I honestly not looking for any overclocking capabilities, it just has to have WiFi and let me play upcoming games without hiccups. The case i will be using is BitFenix Prodigy and GPU: GTX 770. Please help me out, your knowledge will be much appreciated!

Thank you.

  7. I'd go the P8Z77-I that SR-71 first mentioned, great mobo!
  8. Both motherboards are out of stock or discontinued. :(
But i will keep an eye out for ASRock now too in addition to Asus.
  9. I listed 2 nice Mini ITX board above the ASUS is the best , but just a small amount above your budget , but worth it.
  10. Motherboards including wifi tend to be expensive. Unfortunately, using a discrete graphics card takes the only expansion slot on an ITX motherboard.

You can get a itx lga1155 motherboard for $50 or so.
I have used ECS in the past and it seemed like a good product.

If the motherboard does not have wifi, you can use a USB dongle. Pick one with a decent antenna.
  11. a quality mini-itx board doesnt go for under 110$ regardless. u get for what u payed for id never trust an ecs board either tbh.
  12. I understand, so my best bet is ASRock or Asus Z77 series, am i correct?
  13. I understand, so my best bet is ASRock or Asus Z77 series, am i correct? YES they are , the ASUS is the best.

yes this would be the best if u can afford after that the asrock i recommanded would do.

9$ over your budget but prob worth it in upgrade innards.
  15. HE NEEDS 1155 socket.
  16. seems discontinued. also must of chose that by mistake lol

    i swear i saw 1150
  17. Get the BEST ONE:

A few dollars over budget , but worth it.

  18. http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-1155-Intel-Motherboard-GA-H77N-WIFI/dp/B009JDTWVC

this would be a good choice considering the recommanded asus one seems discontinued

    http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?name=MB-P8Z77DX

    discontinued :(
  19. Ok i guess ill keep hunting for Asus Z77.

    Thank you everybody.
  20. einzius dont look for it they dont sell it anymore sadly.

would be a good alternative thats still for sale
  21. If they don't have it available grab the Asrock that is linked above.

    Asrock has solid Z77 boards.
  22. the z77 micro-itx board u recommand is discontinued as well :(
  23. Yea its hard to find a brand new Z77 from ASRock or Asus.
  24. http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-1155-Intel-Motherboard-GA-H77N-WIFI/dp/B009JDTWVC

this gigabyte would fit the bill and just as good as the recommanded 2 blackbird recommanded
  25. It does look good, i will definitely add it to the list, Thank you!
  26. I agree the only choice left is a Gigabyte , but I really don't care for the Z77 lineup they had.

I would look into jumping to the next platform 1150 , they have some real nice choices , But you would also need a NEW 1150 CPU.
  27. Yeah, i understand. But it makes no sense for me to get new CPU when i already got the current one.
What do you guys say about used Asus motherboard? Is it reliable as toyota in car world?
  28. I would go with the NEW Gigabyte over a board that is used because you don't know how it was treated.
  29. gigabyte seems the right choice ;0
