Are these good parts for a budget gaming computer?

Hello, I want to build a decent gaming computer for around $500. Are these parts good for a gaming computer? I would like to play some modern games, use as an emulator, video player, etc. I also had an old laptop which I took apart, could I use any of those parts? The hard drive is a samsung HM250HI, which has 250GB and runs at 5200rpm and has windows 7 on it. Could i use this as the hard drive or would it act as a bottleneck?

get a gtx 660 instead of 750ti much better performance and will cost u 20$ more......u can use it as a additional drive but if i were u i would just buy a caddy and make that an external drive...

Could I transfer the windows 7 from the laptop hard drive onto the harddrive im going to buy?
